About the Japanese manga Demon Slayer
Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and drew the popular manga series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.” From February 15, 2016, to May 18, 2020, it was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The series is about a young boy named Tanjir Kamado, whose family is brutally attacked by demons and whose younger sister, Nezuko, is turned into a demon. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization that kills demons and protects people, so that he can find a way to turn Nezuko back into a human. As of September 2021, the series has been compiled into 23 volumes.
The series has been made into an anime TV show and several feature films, and it has become a cultural phenomenon in Japan. It’s known for its high-quality artwork, intense action scenes, well-developed characters, and emotional stories. It’s also well-known for its strong messages about family, sacrifice, and the bonds between loved ones.

As of May 2020, the manga has sold over 80 million copies, including digital versions. This makes it one of the most popular manga series. In the meantime, the anime series has won a number of awards and is considered one of the best anime made in the 2010s.

During the Taisho period in Japanese history, Tanjiro Kamado is a young boy who lives with his family and makes money by selling charcoal. It happens in Japan. When evil spirits kill his family, everything changes. His family is not safe anymore (oni). Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the only ones who survived the disaster. However, Nezuko has now turned into a demon, but she still has human emotions and cognitive abilities. Only Tanjiro is still alive. After that, Tanjiro changes into a demon hunter in the hopes of turning Nezuko back into a human and keeping other people from going through the same kind of pain that he and his sister did.
